Community Recovery Hub Logan
Community Recovery Hubs are places where you can apply for grants and obtain emotional and wellbeing support.
Workers can help with grant applications and refer you to community services and government agencies for further assistance.
YFS workers will be at the Jimboomba Community Recovery Hub at the Jimboomba Library and Community Centre, 18-22 Honora Street, Jimboomba. Open from 9am to 4pm daily.
A Community Recovery Pop-up Hub will be open at Landcare Environmental Centre, 441-489 Cedar Grove Road, Cedar Grove. Open from 9am to 4pm Thursday 4 January to Sunday 7 January.
Commonwealth and State grants*
Residents in affected areas may be eligible for financial assistance to help recover from disasters.

Emergency Hardship Assistance
The Emergency Hardship Assistance grant is for help with essential needs, food, medication, clothing and temporary accommodation. Grant amount: $180 for individuals (up to $900 for families of five or more).
Essential Services Hardship Assistance
The Essential Services Hardship Assistance grant is for help with essential services such as, power, gas, water, and sewage if you have lost one or more essential services for more than five days and are experiencing personal hardship as a result. Grant amount: $150 for individuals (up to $750 for families of five or more).
Essential Household Contents Grant
To replace essential lost household contents, such as bed linen and white goods for households who are uninsured or unable to claim insurance. Grant amount: up to $1,765 for single adults and up to $5,300 for couples/families.
Essential Services Safety and Reconnection
To help with safety inspection and repairs to reconnect essential services e.g. gas, water, electricity and sewage. Grant amount: Inspection costs—$200 for safety inspection for water, electricity, gas and sewage and up to $4,200 for repairs or replacement of these services.
Structural Assistance Grant
One- off payment to help with structural repairs or contribution towards replacement of dwelling for uninsured owner-occupies homes to ensure the home is habitable, secure and safe. Grant amount: up to $50,000.
