“From our new Jimboomba centre, we will be better positioned to support people in Logan’s high-growth south-western region, which has rapidly emerging needs for support.
“We will base a number of our specialist teams there. They’re providing services that people living in this region are seeking most.”
YFS works with various organisations to provide outreach services across Logan and Beaudesert.
Logan MP Linus Power said it was important for the Queensland government to support programs which helped the most vulnerable.
“The work they do here is so vital to build the next generation of families to ensure each generation can be better, more stable and nurturing,” he said.
Ms Bartolo thanked Mr Power for his contribution.
“Without his support, we wouldn’t be in a position to offer R4Respect, a program led by young people in the Logan and surrounding area to prevent anti-social behaviour and violence,” she said.
The YFS office is located at 7/133 Brisbane Street at the Jimboomba Convenience Centre.
